Regulations

Under the terms of your Lease, regulations can be created to aid the preservation of the development, its amenities, services, and community. The provisions of the Lease remain, and the regulations are supplementary to the Lease and the obligations therein.

Membership & access

Membership of the gym at The Verdean Club is automatically granted to residents occupying apartments which hold rights of access to amenities, as specified in the respective apartment lease/s.

To use the gym, you must have signed the health commitment statement and the gym online induction via the Heron Wharf app.

To complete an induction, you must be a registered resident. The resident registration can be undertaken on the Heron Wharf app.

Opening hours

The opening hours are 6.00am – 10.00pm Monday to Friday and 8.00am – 8.00pm Saturday and Sunday.

Opening and closing hours are subject to change.

There may be times when some or all the facilities may be closed to carry out cleaning, repairs, alterations, maintenance or for other reasons that may be beyond our control.

Whenever possible residents will be informed in advance of any planned closures via the Heron Wharf app.

General

All personal belongings are brought into the gym facility at your own risk. Berkeley Homes (East Thames), St William LLP, and POD Group Services Limited do not accept liability for any loss or damage to any items brought into the premises.

It is recommended that you do not bring any valuable items to the gym.

External fitness professionals (e.g., personal trainers) are not allowed access to the gym at The Verdean Club.

Residents are not to bring glass, crockery or food into the gym.

Residents are not to do or permit any form of trade or commercial activity within The Verdean Club.

Residents are not to do or permit any form of filming within the gym at The Verdean Club.

Residents are not to do anything within The Verdean Gym which may cause damage, inconvenience, or a nuisance to others.

There is a no smoking policy on the premises.

No animals, other than trained service dogs, are allowed within The Verdean Club gym.

Children

Children under the age of 18 are not allowed access into the gym.

Gym

Residents use the facilities and equipment at their own risk.

Please use the gym equipment properly and follow directions carefully.

Appropriate clothing and footwear must be worn when using the gym.

Please return all gym equipment to its original storage location and wipe down machines after use.

Please report any damaged equipment to the Concierge Team immediately.

Mobile phone calls are not allowed in the gym.

Cancellation / Termination of membership

Access and/or membership to The Verdean Gym and the Amenities may be withdrawn should there be instances of:

Anti-social behaviour by a resident or their guest.

The Verdean Gym is being used by a resident or their guest for purposes not in accordance with the relevant laws and/or permits and/or licences permitting the use of The Verdean Club.

Health & Safety

If you have an accident in the gym facility, please report this to a member of the Concierge Team immediately.

If you are unsure of how to use a piece of the gym equipment, please revisit the online digital induction on the Heron Wharf app or contact The Verdean team by emailing us
, before attempting to use that piece of equipment.

If you feel dizzy or faint during exercise, please stop immediately and contact a doctor.

You may be refused access to the facility if your doctor considers your health to be at risk by using these facilities.

It is important that you inform a member of the concierge team if there are any circumstances affecting your health that may be made worse by continuing to use the gym facilities. You should continue to keep this information updated.

No one may use the gym facility whilst under the influence of alcohol or recreational drugs.

Water is provided in the gym and gym users should take care to remain well hydrated when exercising.

Please do not obstruct or leave open any fire door exits.

Keep your hands and fingers away from moving plates and parts.

Please report all equipment faults to the Concierge Team.

The site team come to work to provide services for those who live at Heron Wharf.
